Car shipping companies must to take a cargo and liability insurance as it is mandatory for them. This is done because if anything happens to your vehicle while it is being shipped you can claim the transportation company. While most trustworthy companies do provide insurance to cover damage that may occur while the car is in transit almost nobody is offering an insurance with $0 deductible. Most companies have an insurance with $300 - 500 deductible and higher.
The deductible is the portion of any claim that is not covered by the insurance provider. It is the amount of expenses that must be paid out of pocket before an insurer will cover any expenses. It is normally quoted as a fixed quantity and is a part of most policies covering losses to the policy holder. The deductible must be paid by the insured, before the benefits of the policy can apply.

Please remember that personal belongings left in the vehicle during transportation are not covered by any Insurance. Before transporting your vehicle make sure to fold mirrors (if you can fold those) and remove the antenna if that is removable. If you shipping baby sit or winter tires – those items must be tied securely inside of your vehicle to avoid any possible damage they can make if they move.
